The name “Cavalier” carries a very personal meaning. It comes from my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel—my loyal companion, whose qualities of devotion, trust, and comfort mirror the values I bring into every class. That’s why our logo proudly features the Cavalier dog: a reminder that behind every life-saving skill is compassion, loyalty, and care.

I’m Darryl Gray, founder of Cavalier CPR and BLS. With over 12 years of experience in healthcare, I’ve built my career around empowering others through education and emergency preparedness. My passion is simple yet profound: helping people gain the confidence and skills to save lives—one training at a time.

My journey is marked by resilience and a deep commitment to service. At the age of 38, I made the bold decision to return to college, proving my belief that it’s never too late to grow, lead, and make a difference. My background as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA/L) reinforces my patient-centered approach and fuels my dedication to helping people in their most critical moments.
